Exterior house painting and front yard tidying is finally in progress at our place. The house was green with hot pink shutters before we started. Here is a sneak peek at the new and improved House of Windlost exterior colour scheme:
We choose a lovely milk brown with a gray undertone. Crisp black for the doors and shutters and white trim make it a little more (suburban) classic.
All paint by Benjamin Moore (Arborcoat Exterior Stain) in a custom colour.
Extraordinary, professional, courteous painting by Scott & team from Appleby Painting!
Special thanks to my new life(style) coach, Steve, from An Urban Cottage for extraordinary emotional support during the colour selection process.

Hi Terri - that is the perfect gray/brown paint color. It looks great with the black door. My heart fell when you mentioned it's a custom color. Can you tell us how you went about getting the custom color? Did you have to describe what you were looking for to your paint guy and he came up it? Thanks!

ReplyDeleteThe milk brown color looks beautiful. I will try this classic look for my porch. We're planning on revamping our house exterior since it's been years since it was last painted. We've chosen some bright colors to make our house look more lively and welcoming to our visitors.
