Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
Skating on Lake Louise ~ December 17, 2011

David and I had a quiet and restful New Year's eve. We went for a chilly walk and enjoyed lovely gourmet salads (which were a welcome respite after all the carbs of the past two weeks) and a nice bottle of white wine. I have had brutal headaches this Christmas as I've been changing medications, but hope for some relief in the new year as I continue to try new therapies.

We have some big and small plans for this year and I can't wait to share them all with you...

Best wishes to you for a prosperous and healthy 2012.

xo Terri

  2. Happy New Year. Lovely photo. So sorry about your headaches over Christmas. I had three this week. I hate them. Lets pray that 2012 bring both of us much peace and health. I'll pray for stress free days. God bless.

  6. I'm glad to see people really do still go ice skating...it's so romantic ~ like dating in the old days. :)

    Happy New Year!

I sympathize with you ... I also get bad migraines. I'm trying a new drug also and it seems to dull them so I can finally live somewhat normal days. I wish you pain free days this year. xo

  14. Wow, you are the only other blogger I know (beside myself :) from Calgary!). I work in oil and gas as well (investor relations). Love your blog; I have to admit we did new years at Emerald Lake Lodge and I am in very deep denial about having to go back to work. I found your blog through Janet at the Gardener's cottage. Happy new year.

  17. The Beats Pros were designed to reproduce audio as it was intended to be heard, like studio monitors covering your ears. Put simply, they nailed it. It doesnt matter what style of music you like, the Pros sound as good as your source material. Unlike the Beats Studios, the Beats Pros do not have noise cancellation. Why Beats by Dre? To more accurately reproduce source material Beats by Dr. Dre.

Despite this being a logical reduction in features, its actually one of the best improvements of the Beats Pro. Instead of noise cancellation, which oftentimes introduces a background hiss, the Pros isolate you from the outside sound. They do it incredibly well thanks to washable high density foam ear cups. Even without any audio playing, Beats Pros reduce ambient noise to a minimum Beats by dre headphones. Youll still be able to hear tapping and louder noises, but only just. Its like turning the volume knob on the world down from 10 to 2. Audio at even modest levels is enough to almost drown out the outside world completely Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. This allows you to listen to your music at appropriate and safe levels since the headphones arent competing with much of anything other than your thoughts. And since theres no noise cancellation, you wont have to worry about batteries whatsoever. They may, however, make you want to re-encode all of your music at a higher quality Beats by Dr. Dre. They may make you go from zero to audiophile in five seconds flat.
