Spray roses are just the prettiest thing. They are a slightly smaller rose than conventional varities and they feature several rose buds on a single stem.
I think they are just delightful and they come in the most amazing colours. Roses are my favorite flowers, as old-fashioned as that might sound. But who can resist their frilly charms?
I thought they looked so pretty on my coffee table that I couldn't resist posting a few photos. I think the pale pink ones look pretty in my light-coloured living room.
And they look quite sharp in my new Mikasa vase, which I picked up on sale because I liked the classic fan shape. I find this not-to-narrow and not-too-flared vase shape to be a very flattering and classic shape for many types of flowers.
Doesn't this pink look so pretty against the white pillows? I really want to go buy a dozen more bouquets!
Ah, how I love me some pink roses! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh they look good enough to eat! I love every shot!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous - love the vase! Leigh
ReplyDeleteThese pink roses look so gorgeous I can almost smell their scent! And you're right, they look great in the Mikasa vase. Good pick up. Lee :)
ReplyDeletePerfect. They are just lovely on your coffee table and yes, the color is wonderful against the white pillows in your room. You are so right about the fan shape of the vase. I never think about these things until I get flowers and then struggle with which vase to use!
ReplyDeleteso so so pretty!
ReplyDeleteJust found you because of the Washington Post.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful blog. So excited I have something new to look forward to now!
I visited last evening, but got interrupted before leaving a comment. Your vase is exquisite and these roses...oh my! Would you believe that they've never showed on my radar screen? No, never heard of a "spray" rose before...lovely things.

Hi T, just wanted to drop in and say 'been thinking 'bout ya'! I haven't really been blogging or evening blog reading for that matter. The whole family is here right now and we've been enjoying full and very busy houses both at my place and Andrea's.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are finding some downtime this summer. Often wish I was closer and that we could get together - to laugh, to cry and perhaps even drink a little!
Much love. A
They are exquisite and I find they tend to last longer than "normal" roses. Musky pink colour is divine. Love them....J
ReplyDeleteAre spray roses an heirloom variety? They are SO beautiful--do they smell as good as they look?

They really are lovely! I haven't seen spray roses in the shops around here, that's too bad, because they're so nice. And the shape of the vase is perfect for these roses!
