I Just Bought

These...
I decided it was time I did something for the economy.  No need to thank me (wink)!  I have been coveting a pair of these boots for several months.  All I saw in Paris in October were riding boots - everywhere!  I have wanted a pair since, and got these beauties on sale (okay, so the trend is likely over in Europe but it didn't even register here, yet!).

I took English riding lessons for quite a few years (in my late 20's!) and I felt a wave of nostalgia when I put them on - even though they are not quite as high on the leg as my old riding boots, which come all the way to the knee.

These are lovely with jeans and skirts and leggings and even looked good with my glen check wool dress pants today - except it is a shame when you cannot see all of them.  Almost as nice as a new bathtub.

  2. Great boots! Glad to see you are doing your bit for the economy - I'm reading on so many blogs and in the new that people are going to cut back on their spending, but to me, this is the exact time we should be spending. I bought car mats today - not as exciting!

  5. They're beautiful! Enjoy them, my dear. And I do thank you for helping the economy. I'm sure that it will do more than my purchasing Christmas wrap at 30 cents a roll! =>

  6. Beautiful boots. Thank you for doing your part for the economy. Perhaps I should venture out this weekend and do some buying as well. It's the least I can do! Right?
    Enjoy them!

  9. Terri! I have been terribly neglectful of my blog, but I have had a setback with my headache pain and have started to again turn to my blog as an outlet... and realized how much I missed keeping up with you and so many others... I do hope that you are feeling well, and I am going to be catching up on all of your beautiful posts...
I hope you and your David are staying warm!

  11. Nice boots, I also love boots, but find it always hard to find nice fitting ones. Sometimes it's so lovely to buy something nice for yourself, especially if you wanted them for awhile!
enjoy them and I am sure they look good.

Oh boy, I love those boots! I'm a terrible shopper especially when it comes to footwear; nature, as a cruel joke, put men's feet on this girly body. I have EEE width on my little gems (size 10 or 11) and finding fancy boots is impossible. So I shall just sigh and whimper with jealousy...and continue wearing my winter (MEN's) hiking boots.....
