David is a huge American Civil War enthusiast and entered 10 photos in a recent contest.
Out of 27,000 entries, this photo made it into the final 30 in the People's Choice category:
The photo depicts Congressman Thaddeus Stevens' Blacksmith shop near Chambersburg, PA.
Stevens was an abolitionist whose foundry was burned down by Rebel cavalry as they approached Gettysburg in 1863. This blacksmith's shop is all that remains.
