A couple of years ago, I bought a box of six icicle ornaments from Pottery Barn, but I never used them on the tree and wondered why I bought them.
This year, I decided I would try them on my chandelier:

They make it look very wintery in here.
I still have not reupholstered my dining chairs. As you can see, the one in the background has a piece of cloth over it (they are covered in pink and green stripes).
This project is on my radar for 2013. I cannot wait to start looking for fabrics.

I purchased one of a similar icicle and now I'm wondering where it is. It does look wintry. Hope that it's nice and toasty inside. Yes, it's busy. Hope that your world settles down enough to enjoy the season with some calm and pleasant pursuits.

Wish I'd gotten those. I have some smaller glass ones my sister brought me when s he lived in Germany. In the original little box. I'm the only one to hang them and I carefully count when I take the tree down.

ReplyDeleteAS FAR AS YOUR CHAIRS GO -think about slipcovering them with a short skirt. either tailored, ruffled or scalloped. a slipcover wlil make them look so up to date!!!!
They look wonderful, Terri. In past years I've hung ornaments from our chandelier, but didn't this year. I am paring down the decorations a bit.
